Default Removing Cluster

Hello-

I'm looking to remove my instrument cluster today and send it away for repair. But I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or instruction I can follow? Thanks for any feedback.

Default Re: Removing Cluster

Cluster has two spring clips along top edge that hook the backside of the dash opening. Pull cluster from bottom first and it's pretty snug (IIRC 2 screws but double check). Suggest disconnect battery first. As soon as you have enough room, pop the levers and disconnect the three 32pin connectors and the high beam light 2 wire connector, then cluster will pop out.

Whatever you do, do not turn ign key (if battery still connected) or power up cluster with 32 pin connectors disconnected or your Immobilizer keys will roll on one end only (Cluster vs ECU), meaning engine no start again until keys re-sync'd.

I can recommend Modulemaster to repair an 01 TT cluster as Gavin sure knows what he is doing.
