Finally found a 2005 a4 avant for the price I wanted ($20k). Now I need your help.

1. Where should I bring it for servicing? I want to REALLY go over it with a mechanic. I live in white rock, bc (vancouver). There is a VW dealer near but stealerships scare me.
2. What sort of 'surprises' do a4 avants have between 70,000kms and 120,000kms?
3. Should I buy a two year unlimited kms warranty that covers the engine, tranny, etc. Costs about $1000 ($100 deduc. $3000 per claim).
