when should we expect incentives?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Q5 3.0TFSI. Nothing is available for me in the Canada inventory and the salesman lets me know typical arrival times are 12 weeks after ordering. However, he also add that I would be eligible for any incentives that occur in the meantime ...
I wonder if I shouldn't wait for a bit, wondering when I might expect the "end of year" incentive?
TIA
EDIT: I'm hoping also to know what type of incentive to expect. I'm not interested if it's only a drop in the interest rate. I'm looking for a cash incentive, $$ off the base price, or free extras ...

Given the popularity of the car I'm not sure there will be much in the way of cash discounts or even 1 payment free that we saw on the 2.0T Q5 in December. In Toronto you should be able to get 5-6% off of list price plus any Audi loyalty or supplier discount program add-ons. I'm not sure if you can get the same discount off of list on the Rock.

Still ... although anxiety is on the verge of taking over, I should fight the urge to pay full price. It would be a lot easier to wait and make the purchase 10-11 weeks away from an anticipated incentive ... e.g., end of model year
Did you find, in the dealership inventory search, the right model which you're looking for at somewhere in Canada, especially Toronto or east from Toronto ? If you did, go there and grab it. I bought my wife's Q5 at last October and got about 6% discount and Audi waived the deposit and the last payment.
Unfortunately, this special was over.

We took delivery on our 2013 3.0T on Monday this week. It took 10-11 weeks to get – we placed the order very early February. Being that we took delivery in April (our sales guy in Calgary said that was the best time of the year to do so) we ended up getting $3750 off plus a $500 supplier discount (misses works for Shell). So total discount was $4250 off sticker. We loaded ours up with everything you can (less the adaptive cruise) and added $1,000 to upgraded 20’s on summer rubber. We also added the Audicare ($750) and 3M to the hood, entire front bumper, rockers, mirrors, fenders, and luggage strip ($1000).
So in all we got about a 6.5% discount off MSRP. I was impressed with that. I would think that one may not get quite the same discount percentage if they were not getting the vehicle loaded up with all the extras. That’s likely where Audi makes their higher margins.

For mine all we know for sure is we received the Audi Care incentive... it is a 2014 so there were no deals to be made. When it arrives it may qualify for whaever deal is running at that time.
I was careful about my options to save a few bucks. I did go with the premium model, but I ordered it without the sunroof which saved me 2K (just not a fan of sunroofs, plus it adds like 200lbs to the advertised curb weight) and also asked them to pull off the wheel locks and mud guards which dropped it another 900$. I will probably also pay for it with cash so I can get rid of that 500$ document charge.
I won't be getting any of the 3M, or undercoating, or any of the accessory options either, total price will be right around 48K all in.
