I saw a dealer quote, $800 for wheel locks? What is so special about the locks?

 

That must be one of the dealers in in Calgary. They both belong to the same group and unfortunately, your choices are limited. They've been over charging people for a long time, mud gurds and wheel locks for $800, lease/finance aquisition fee of $595, registration fee of $395 all a rip off IMO.

 

I thought wheellocks came standard?

What if you just went aftermarket ie Home - McGard: Innovative Security Products

 

Wheel locks (the traditional wheel lock) nothing fancy, comes with the Q5 already.

 

You guys don't understand what happens in Calgary. You don't have a choice, if you want to buy an Audi from them. It is their way or nothing. You can't opt out.

 

Has anyone in Calgary been successful in saying they were not going to pay it?

 

I have. Told them no mudflaps, no $595 fee. They were very good about it. No complaints.

 

I didn't realize the Q5 even comes with mudflaps (the rear). Mine didn't.
