I had ordered the USB MMI cable to replace outdated 30 pins MMI Cable from ebay, It works perfectly. Cost $14.00 including shipping compare $$ amount with Audi dealer.

I see that your Audi is a 2013 Q5 -- why is this cable needed? (I haven't yet received our Q5 yet, but I thought connecting a USB memory device was a no brainer and came with the car ... no?)

Q5 come with 30 pin MMI cable need to plug-in in glove compartment (outdated design), 2 SD card slots and a hard drive. The 30 pin cable is useless for iphone 5 and the latest ipad. I thank the USB memory stick is more versatile to transfer and storage music or play direct on the USB stick. that's why I like the USB MMI cable to replace the 30 pin cable.

Talking about the design, some of the little things I think they need to re-design.
1) The 30 pin or USB plug should be on the console, not inside the glove compartment.
2) The remote key, it is huge and heavy, why have to that big (for paper weight?)
3) The Sun visor is too small and no extension.

Other than that, this is a very good car, specially excellent handling for to-day's stormy weather.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought there was a USB connection inside the center console, under the armrest(?)

Edit: I see that you are probably correct. However, I also see that for many Q5 owners that they received 2 cables with their car ... iPod and USB(?)

My salesman only give me the 30 pin cable, USB cable is extra cost.
Please ask your salesman.
