Default Turn signal in side Mirrors...

Has anyone changed the turn signal in the side mirror from orange to white?

The strip that lights up is clear, so the light source must be the orange colour, so in theory it should be doable...

First question is, is it a regular bulb, or an LED?

I understand it is not a DIY project, but if it is possible, I would have the dealer swap it for me.

Thoughts?

Some time ago I had my side mirror crashed, so I had a chance to look at turn signal module. It is LED based (so plastic can be clear) contains few LEDs inside and is sealed. So dissassembling it to replace LEDs without damage might be really troublesome.

Yellow is a much more visible than white. I'd stick to yellow for safety reason. Aside from the front turn signal and head lights, all other exterior lights on the Q5 are LED.
