Tire Pressure

Tire Pressure
I have my 2011Q5 for two months. It has 235/60R18 all-season tires. I measured the tire pressure first time yesterday when the tires are cold as the checking tire pressure light went on. Three tires out of four were around 43PSI. The rear right was just 35. I am kind of surprised that the factory setting (I assume it’s) is above the 32PSI printed on the sticker on the door jam. What tire pressure do you guys usually go by? Thanks!

Lower your tire pressure to 32-34PSI, your ride and handling will improve too, not to mention you will be running on correct PSI.

Re: Tire Pressure
I have all mine at 35, war/toma, think it would make a dif to lower that a bit (ie do you think you can notice the difference between 35 and 32)?
Also for winter do you guys usually run at a slightly lower or higher PSI?
Cheers

Re: Tire Pressure
35 to 32 not much of q difference really. Fall, spring and summer I do 35 and winter I go to 33 always lower in colder weather. 33 is the recommended psi on the tag by the door. So far working good.

Re: Tire Pressure
I've had my 2011 Q5 for 1 month now and i've noticed the ride somewhat too firm. Feel every bump on the road. I bet it's because of the high pressure, going to check tonight. Thanks to all, will let you know.

Re: Tire Pressure
MkIX - Actually, when I went to check the pressure, it was at 33psi which is about where it should be.
I guess the suspension was designed firm for good handling. I'm getting used to it.
