Seat Heat ( or lack of )
Got my new Q5 the other day and love it so far. I am a little shocked at the lack of seat heat though, I have it up at level 6 and it is barely warm. I read on audiworld forum that they have turned down the heat intentionally!?!?
Any input or advice? will be calling dealer tomorrow.

Mine is barely noticeable on at 6 all the time. Is it possible that the sensor that detects when someone is on the seat is intermittent?
The seat heaters on our 2011 Q5 function well. My wife (a recent sciatica victim) often has hers on level 6. I find that level much too hot and usually have mine on level 3, which is noticeable but not sweaty.

Guys, you can't just compare these settings from case to case. Everyone has different fell of it, so this is pointless. Someone can be OK with 4, and for same it's barely warm enough.
I personally find 1 and 2 is pretty useless. 6 will warm my butt all right, usually after that I keep it at 3.

They call them seat warmers. If you are comparing them to BMW or VW......... don't they have dialled them way back on all models of Audi. Harmsway we noticed the exact same as we are in the mountains frequently but small potatoes really when it comes to the rest of the car. When it's -30 not to worry they feel good!
As Harmsway said, why have 6 levels when level 6 is barely warm at all, may as well just have "off" and "on" don't patronize us with 6 "levels" of seat heat. Just one of those annoying things that make you wonder what the engineers were thinking.
