My wife has a similar complaint about our 2012 Audi Q5 2.0T. My 2011 Mazda3 will positively roast your butt at its highest settings, but not so the Q5.

We asked the dealer, and they said a similar thing to what others have said in reply to your post. They intentionally turned down the heat because of previous issues in other model years and also with the VW product line. Might be worth Googling for....

I have no doubt this can be adjusted via vagcom. Worth looking into if you have access to a cable.

I agree the heated seats in the Q5 are not warm at all ! They definitely made an error on that setting . My question can it be corrected?

I remember a few threads over at az and audiworld discussing this in the past. Audi turned down seat heating levels for MY10 (I can attest to this from having owned a Q5) and then back up for MY11 (definitely gets much warmer). For MY12 it's possible they reverted back to MY10 levels. My 2001 and 2004 A4 and 2006 A3 were all pretty warm at 6.

Yes it can be corrected however the dealer may or may not do this for you. It's best to ask your adviser.
