Re: Rick's SQ5 in Estoril Blue & Garage
My brother-in-law swung by with his new S4. I think it looks good with the SQ5. I wish it were mine:

Prior to the snowfall, I had her looking pretty clean:

Re: Rick's SQ5 in Estoril Blue & Garage
I'm a long time Mercedes guy..looking at an Estoril Blue SQ5...and a search brought me here. I took the time to register and post because this garage now haunts my dreams...it looks like insanity to me! absolutely stunning.
Anyway, negotiating the purchase of an Estoril Blue SQ5, just to break up the monopoly in my driveway (the amg will still reside in my MESSY garage). I haven't looked at an Audi vehicle since the q5 first came out...I must say the interior quality has come a long way since then..thoroughly impressed. (I'll probably still buy the GLK AMG when it comes out sometime in Mercedes ethereal future).
Looking forward to the SQ5.
very nice photos Rick.

Congrats on your Estoril SQ5! And, thanks for the compliments regarding my garage. It is definitely a passion project of mine. In fact, just threw a website together about it. Feel free to check it out: Rick's Audi Double - Home

[QUOTE=55cadillacking;189277]The PDI is complete. Just need to get it detailed, 3M'd and tinted. Here it is with the 20" winter Hartmann's.

Hey Rick,
What is the offset on your winters again? Thanks man! Hope you are still enjoying the car. I am still envious of your garage!
Cheers,
Blu

Re: Rick's SQ5 in Estoril Blue & Garage
Hey Rick,
I just ordered a 2015 SQ5 in Sepang Blue Pearl (looks like they changed from the Estoril Blue in 2015).
I ordered with the 20" OEMs and will put winters on. I'm looking at 22" summers, so I wanted to hear if you have any thoughts on that. 22" x 9" with +32 offset and 66.56mm Hub. Will probably go with Nitto Invo for summer performance tires (255/35/22).
I love the Estoril Blue BTW.
I bought from Glenmore also, and have them doing the full 3M also.
I'm in Red Deer.
Cheers!

Re: Rick's SQ5 in Estoril Blue & Garage
Congrats, Shea! I've seen a Sepang Blue '15 running around Calgary with the black optics package. Looks pretty sporty. I like the Estoril and the Sepang, if they were both being offered that would be a tricky choice, for sure.
I'm quite happy with the appearance and handling of the 21" optional wheels. Honestly, I think you may find the stiffness of the 22" to be a bit of a headache. What size tire does that size of a rim require? You must be looking at a 35-series which could result in a harsher ride than you want. But, that said, I had 35-series Yokohama's on 22's on my Q7 and loved it. I'm no fitment expert so I am going to assume you have done your homework and that's the offset you need for the particular wheel you have in mind. I say go for it, if you love them. I know nothing about Nitto's other than they seem to be a reasonably priced tire.
Let me know what you end up doing. When do you get it, or do you have it already?
