Default Q5 - How do you remove the license plate lense

I've searched and I know it's probably a dumb question to some of you, but how does one remove the covers that protect the license plate bulbs? I've purchased LED replacement lights and don't want to break anything by just inserting a screw driver and prying them off. There's a small slot that looks like you can insert a screw driver but I'm afraid to apply too much force. I figure if I break one it will cost $500 for Audi to replace it so I'm very nervous.

Thanks

Here you go:

I used this last year works like a charm.

Only thing is when you're pulling down. PULL HARD. Dont' worry you won't break anything, the entire unit snaps right out and right back in.

The plastic wedge thing you can buy from Canadian tire (but it from the paint section). Good luck.

Thanks for the info. -Only problem is that I live in Montreal.

I wanted to have them installed also. I may just buy the kit and try myself or go the my dealer and ask if they could install them. If it's easy, they may just charge 30min.

I don't want to risk breaking anything

He also has an online store ExtremebrightLEDs.com so you can also buy online he's also on ebay as a power seller.

I highly doubt the dealer will change it if they do they will charge you for an hour labor which is about $120.00/h which is a lot of money.

If you follow the instruction I sent you, it's impossible to break anything. I've done this several times it's very easy and will take you about 5 mins.

Do what you're comfortable with though it's your call at the end
