Hey Warcity,

Wanna thank you, Soni, and Regina_TT for the tips in taking off the fog grill and installation of the LEDs. The rope method definitely worked. I find the fog grill easier to take off now without the rope after the first initial try. Here are some pics. Enjoy.

Just a question,

was using the HID fogs today and for some reason, the fog lights started to flicker and a light error message on my display cluster appeared. Anyone have this problem?

Did you ensure to use plenty of electrical tape to hold the wires in place?

yeah I have electrical tape to make sure the wires are not loose. Now a question with the kit. I noticed in your video you mentioned it was a simple plug and play where you would pull out original bulb use the same cable to connect to the ballast plug. On the kit I have, the cars plug does not directly connect to the ballast plug because it is a different size. Jacky mentioned the alternate way is by using the two wires that was attached to the HID bulb portion and plug each of the individual +/- wires to the cars plug. Was that how your HID kit was connected? I hope this makes sense to you Warcity =).

Hi there: Yes I have hooked up exactly the same way you have hooked up. By plug and play I mean no cutting or anything required but you're right there is no plastic harness to snap the wires like the factory so what you have done is correct.

I have never experience flickering however I think another member on the forum has. I can't remember who but I did read it. There is a solution but I am not 100% sure.

Send Jacky and email (using the same address he has on his listing) he will for sure have a solution. I will also search around to find out what you need to do differently.

We'll get it fixed

Hey Warcity,

Thanks for the confirmation about the wiring. I have contacted Jacky about the problem earlier in the day and he mentioned to switch the left and right ballast to see if that would work but it has not. The light would sometimes turn on ok or sometimes just flicker like there is not enough juice to turn it on. Sometimes when it is on, it would suddenly flicker and then continue to with an error. Thank you for your genuine concern. I will see what other solution Jacky has, he has been very helpful and also is concerned to get this problem fixed. Ill keep you posted.

Jacky is pretty helpful so hopefully he'll come up with something. Meanwhile I will continue to search. Is it happening to both sides?

Yes the flicker can happen both sides. The error MSG indicates right bulb.
