I have an Audi Q5, 2.0 Quattro Premium

The fuel consumption on the Audi Website is 10.6 L for 100Km of city driving and 7.7L for 100km of highway driving.

My car is very new, for example I've only filled up twice, and I'm getting no where that kind of efficiency.

So the standard tank is 75 Litres of fuel capacity and it's actually my wife that drives it most of the time and she is a very safe driver (no speeding, quick acceleration, hard stops or anything).

Each time that fuel indicator option tells me when I fill up, I start with 760Km, but when it comes down to it I only end up getting about 630K.

I am kind of disappointed especially with the price of gas these days.

Anyone else have any thoughts, comments or experience?

I have a Q5 2.0T Premium as well, and so far, I love it. It's been a week and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

As far as the fuel consumption goes... I got 1000kms on my second tank! It was almost all highway driving and I have to say I was shocked. I didn't expect the tank to go as far as it did.

I just filled up this evening so I'll monitor what the third tank gets...

I drive the Audi Q5 and I crossed the 26,200 km
My experience with the fuel consumption is the following

From Audi:
City: 10.7 Liters ----------- Real: 14.5 to 15.5
Highway: 7.3 Liters ------- Real: 9.5 (85-90 km / h) 12.3lit (120km / h) 15.6lit (160km / h)
Combined: 8.5 Liters ------ Real: 12.5

Disbelieve what you say computer is configured to show lower fuel consumption. Board computers do not believe he knows to lie up to 20% BUT CHECK WHEN refuel your tank.

There is something seruoisly wrong with your car then. I suggest to visit dealer to run some tests, as this kind of fuel consumption is not normal on 2.0T.
I average 8l on highway and 11l in city.

Thank you for the advice but its your car Test drive it 150km / h so check the fuel consumption. I have an Audi A4 with same engine but he spends in 11L city and 7L on the open road.
Audi Q 5 is 230kg heavier than A4, with the constant all-wheel drive, greater resistance to air ......
If it was such consumption, as you write it nobody would buy diesel, which is known consumes 30-40 percent less fuel. Calculate how much I would be for the Q5, and whether it is realistic for SUV. If your car consumes 8 liters on the highway when you fill a tank should get the fact that there is fuel for 940km ?????

When the hustle of traffic (traffic lights, lots of cars) will be spending and 17 l.
Cars try to drive 5 km to stop every 500m and you go so slowly and runs slowly at a speed of 20-30 km / h and see how the consumption

The best is when you refuel your tank records kilometers to the next time and then again when compared refuel your tank

I have the Q 5 with the two liter. I checked the milage a combination of city Hwy mostly city. I converted the numbers to miles per gallon, next time I'll do the Liters pr km. So far 23 MPG and the last tank which was 50/50 hwy 26 mpg. So far I am very pleased with the fuel consumption.
I would expect full hwy milage to be about 28 mpg, just a guess and doing the speed limit even though the car wants to go faster.

My initial fuel consumption in the first couple of tanks of gas was around 11.8 L/100k in the city according to the computer.
I suspected that the computer was lying and then I did a manual calculations, and averaged about 12.35 L/100k. That's about 5% off, and lets say I wasn't too accurate when recording my numbers and sometimes gas pumps aren't too honest. I sometimes drive with all the windows open, or the a/c on and there is stop and go traffic. I figure the car's computer is pretty accurate.

I had a B200 Turbo with the same size engine and got the same number from the trip computer. So I am pleased that a heavier Q5 with Quattro is getting a better number then the little Merc.

I've since done a few blasts down the highway - Vancouver to Whistler and Vancouver to Seattle and the first servicing was just done. At 8,000 k's and lets say 20% highway, I now average 11.2 L/100k. I've also taken the spare tire out of the trunk (hey look there's a sub back here). In 20 years of driving, I've only had to use a spare tire once and since there is an air pump in the trunk, unless you completely destroy your tire. You should be able to limp home and get the spare or repair your tire at a store. I believe the 11.2 number will continue to go down as more mileage is registered. That should be better than a GLK or RX350. The new X3 has start-stop technology, but I don't know if this works in the real world.

I usually have DIS on the trip/instant fuel consumption screen. Its a good way to teach yourself how to get the lowest fuel consumption. I've found the secret is to keep your car moving and thus increasing your average speed and better fuel economy. Driving in S mode usually adds an extra 1 l/100k than normal.

^ the new X3 does not have start stop (at least not in North America). It does have a microhybrid function though (alternator is disconnected while driving and brake energy regeneration)

I found that my 2.0T (on my 2010 A4) started getting better fuel economy after 15000kms

Almost all Audi cars in Europe also have start/stop. My S4 when it was shipped to Canada audi forgot to remove the start/stop button from my console. Although it's a dead button I have it there, looks pretty cool.

I think that mistakes a small number of the car has a system start / stop in Europe because it is optional equipment (for Audi Q5 price 615 EUR - 880$)
Do you think the button start / stop or start-stop a new system where you stop the engine off when stationary for more than 3 seconds and l start up when you press the accelerator.
