Default Place recommend for brake pad change?

Hi all,

My lease is done in 10 months and I just got information that it will take me $750 to get brake pads to be replaced (and I'm assuming with the disc done too). Given that I have been having so many issues with my car, obviously I'm not going to buy back, plus I'm don't want to spend that amount of $$$ for only another 10 months on this car.

I'm driving a Q5 now. Is there any place where you will recommend for a brake pad change?

Thanks!!!!

$750 for the full front and rear breaks, including rotor, caliper and pads, and labour? That sounds a bit cheap in my opinion. Although I've never purchased "normal" brakes. In a few months I'm going to replace all my brakes due to poor quality of the brakes that were put on a few years ago by the dealership it was purchased at.

I have a quote for high performance brakes including the rotors, calipers and pads for $1100. That's the very best price a friend could get me without losing money himself and no labour, since I'm doing it myself.

Hope this comparison helps,

-Nick

Assuming you have no more than 65K on the car why do you need to change the pads? OEM pads should last much longer.

Agree with Ario. Have your pads checked by an independent.

No... I haven't got any independent to check on it as I'm not sure who I can bring it to.

So I had it done at the dealership.

I reached 50.1k and I was told that it normally happens between 30k to 50k.
