Picking up your Q5

Picking up your Q5
I am going to pick up my Q5 tomorrow. The dealer called me and asked me if I want to have my Q5 detailed for tomorrow's pick up. Is it really necessary?? I have to pay some $$ of course..

Re: Picking up your Q5
I got a phone call from the service guy that told me about this. The guy said that he will make the car look as good as the cars in the show room and 5 year warranty on wear and tear on your leather seating and interior etc. etc.

Ah okay, it's a warranty pitch. You should consider the kind of use you'll have for the car and how long you'll be keeping it etc... give that and the price they're offering you should see if it's worth it.

Re: Picking up your Q5
Thanks for the quick reply warcity. I will be picking up my Quartz grey Q5 tomorrow. Other than checking for scratches, ipod cable roof bars ... anything else I should watch out for?
BTW, does the Q5 comes with a cargo net?

Sorry no cargo net. Which is disappointing because I really need them. You will get the roof rack cross bar. Check for what you listed above as well as the Q5 branded floor mats. Mine were missing.

Re: Picking up your Q5
When I picked up my Q5 and came home I noticed the mats were unbranded generic mats. Since all my previous cars all had branded mats I assumed that the dealer missed it during PDI, I called my dealer (down town Toronto) they apologized I went back and they handed me a set of front and back mats (only branded in the front though).
Based on this experience I assumed they forgot hence my suggestion to hitokiri to check for it. If you're telling me a 60K+ car doesn't come with branded mats then I am certainly shocked and surprised . Perhaps they dealer simply "gave" it to me out of courtesy but typically dealers go out of their way to make sure you know they're giving you something for free .
