Took the car back after 1000km for stage 2...was advised that the results were within "normal consumption"...no charges and was told that I could bring the car to the dealership for any future top-ups free of charge.

The "stage 2" was done this week. Pistons, gaskets (also timing chain) were replaced.
So far no conclusions, the oil meter still shows nothing after 175km. I did not pay for neither oil consumption test, the "stage 1" repair (PVC valve), nor for the "stage 2" repair. The only payment I made - for timing chain "rails" that are not covered by Audi warranty(?). I would say it was very generous.
