For sure it's worth the price, it's costs lots because you get lots for it. I think you should go for it. Feature heavy cars are a lot more attractive when it comes to resale, specially Nav. Over the next few years Navs will be much more popular.

It is the one thing that I wish I had in my car. I am however considering the aftermarket option for the nav next year.

I love the nav and would gladly pay for it again.. Just wish it did a better job of listing street names as I drive past them..

The further out you zoom the less street names you get. I find 100-200m to be the best in terms of street name details.

Even beyond the Nav portion of it, having all the MMI controls around the shifter instead of under the screen is a huge bonus for me. When my arm's on the armrest, my hand is there anyway. So easy to flip through the MMI.

I've tried a lot of levels but sometimes you just don't get all of the street names until you've driven past it. No big deal though.

Anybody have any tips on inputting street names when you don't know the name of the town? I never know the difference between North York, Thornhill etc..

And this is a vital reason why I'm considering nav option now. Controls are located on central consol. I makes then a lot easier to access. Why Audi doesn't do that for all trims and options is beyond logical explanation.

Probably the reason why they don't put it on all trims is exactly that. Most people like it primarily because the ***** are located at the bottom of the shifter and for that they might pay the extra to get the Nav package. If they put it on all their trims the Nav package wouldn't be unique anymore .

With BMW you don't even get a screen if you don't have the Nav let alone a ****.

You should for sure get it.

i'm in the process of acquiring a new Q5 (my first post!), and i too, am pondering the nav option. it's just unfortunate that i have to purchase "premium plus" in order to get the nav. premium plus for me is worthless.

Might seem worthless at first but if you get it you'll find use for every feature.
