Default My own concerns

Hi Guys,

I already purchased a Q5 2L triptonic and waiting for delivery , I love that car like any one of you .

Last week one of my friends had a timing belt issue in A4, 2009 @28K with subsequent burned engine that needed replacement . I started looking around in the internet and found troubles with transmission at 50 and 80Ks that required replacement . I wonder is it a bug with Audi or it is just linked to particular models

As it is my first time I own an Audi, and hearing the former I start to be concerned .

I have two questions are those issues norms or just bad luck? I know that car is under service warranty up to 80k or 4 yrs. I'm trying to find an extended warranty like in Honda that can extend to 300K but found nothing, any tips or advised are welcome.

Thanks

You should be able to buy extended warranty from dealer - and as an Audi owner for past 21 years - I'd highly recommend it. You should be able to buy it for up to 1 year from delivery. I'd only buy Audi dealer extended warranty as it will be best all around. Something's wrong if dealer won't offer it to you - unless it's not an Audi dealer.

Keep in mind the 2.0t uses the NEW 8 speed engine. All other 2.0t issues experienced were with the old engine not the new one.

Extended warranty is a great option.

Audi Canada, not sure of the price. You can call any dealer to find out.

Thanks Guys for your help.

I asked about the extended warranty. There is the elite extended warranty that goes 7 yrs or 160k
I wonder is that all or is there any thing better/ same quality but cheaper?

Thanks

Call Audi Canada, that's the best way to make sure you're getting the right answer.
