The speedo on a Canadian 2011 2.0T Q5 does not have any MPH markings

Hmm odd, however i believe there is a VAG-COM hack to show GPS speed on screen (if you have the NAV package) and you can choose mph or km...

If you don't have the NAV package, your garden variety garmin or tom tom GPS unit can show your speed in MPH when you make trips into the states.

Strange they wouldn't put MPH on that speedometer though. Certainly its an option i've had on all my cars for the last 15 years.

You don't need to hack anything. If you need to see MPH you can view it in the in the DIS (Driver Information System) that is located between the tach and speedo. From the MMI [CAR] menu, you can change the settings to display either KPH or MPH. It's all in the manual.

No Q5 has it. Tony's way is the only way to go MPH which I think is a good way. You see it only when you need to.
