Oh don't think I actually went down to my car to check the owners manual. I'm not an avid manual reader either. I stumbled across an HTML version of the Q5 manual that comes with the non-North American 3G MMI cars known as the "onboard handbook". While I haven't yet figured out how to get it to load to the MMI in my Q5, it does work well on my computer.

You could try removing the songs/playlists from your iPhone. Perhaps something is corrupt there. And you could try testing another iPod/iPhone.

yes it takes less than a minute i also have iphone 3g. it always happens when any corruption is there by which some error occurs.
