Oh don't think I actually went down to my car to check the owners manual. I'm not an avid manual reader either. I stumbled across an HTML version of the Q5 manual that comes with the non-North American 3G MMI cars known as the "onboard handbook". While I haven't yet figured out how to get it to load to the MMI in my Q5, it does work well on my computer.

 

Yes, I listen to music from my iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.0.1) all of the time. And it always loads my entire playlist in less than a minute.

You could try removing the songs/playlists from your iPhone. Perhaps something is corrupt there. And you could try testing another iPod/iPhone.

 

I finally got it work. yes its my iphone that has the problem. I reset the iphone and it worked. Thank u so much for your suggestions Tony.

Just a guess, but maybe the problem is on the iphone side? Try a hard reset on the iphone and see what happens.

yes it takes less than a minute i also have iphone 3g. it always happens when any corruption is there by which some error occurs.
