In response to someone saying a heated seat is gimmicky.

Try starting up your car in -35 degrees CELCIUS and driving off with no heated steering wheel. Is is safe? Hell no!!!! When I have to do it in my A4 I barely have two hands on the wheel and as for "gloves" forget it. Most gloves are no warmer than the sub zero steering wheel you need to be in control of. And mitts don't help much either.

Those who claim this feature to be gimmicky have probably NEVER experienced a Canadian winter or a North Dakota cold snap for that matter. When we test drove our Hyundai Santa Fe limited, we did it on a cold February afternoon and the first thing my wife noticed was how warm the steering wheel was and after a few months of online research and reading review after review we bought one and haven't looked back since. Yes there are some gimmicky bells and whistles on many cars but a heated steering wheel is DEFINITELY not one of them.

I'm also dissapointed that cars like the S4 and S5 don't offer this feature. REALLY AUDI?

And for the record, BMW does exactly the same thing. Their entry level cars don't offer this regardless of the fact that they cost upwards of 40k. In Canada, this relatively cheap and simple feature goes such a long way when starting up your car on a cold morning.
this is not true. my buddy's bare bones base model 2011 328i has a heated steering wheel. it was 40k out the door brand new

Now that's a good sign.... For BMW. I feel like 2015 and 16 will be the dawn of the bells and whistles war. So far Audi is losing.

My next car will either be an S4 or a Vantage V8. I'm leaning more towards the S4 because it is an all in one package where as the Vantage is just a posh summer car (but DAMM it's sexy). I just hope that by the time I'm ready to buy, the S4 will come with a heated steering wheel.

You've obviously NEVER had a heated steering wheel in minus 30 degree temps. To sum it up in one word.... HEAVEN!!!!!!

None of you have come out and said look at the Audi's quattro system, or the quality behind the leather, or the structure and engineering, look at my car it doesent have any squeaks. You worry about what Kia/Ford/Toyota and so on have to offer. Then dont buy an Audi.

I know I didnt buy my car for the technology it has but I bought it for the timeless styling and technology that works and has been proven over and over again. Maybe they dont have the latest touch screen or the greatest bells and whistles, but wait a year or two when that touchscreen dies and that technology gets old. You want the latest car with the best of the best bells and whistles, guess what? It does not exist, because when you drive it off the lot its already old.

Its just blowing smoke up a consumers you know what to fog the vision of how shitty the quality really is. I had a buddy with an 1997 A4 that went 600 000Km's without issues. He treated it right and the radio still worked. Stop being so demanding and be happy that you are able to keep your family safe in such a wonderful vehicle. Get over the BS they are feeding you of the latest and greatest technology and be happy that it starts day in day out and it doesn't fail. Be grateful for once of what you have and appreciate it rather then the things you do not have.

You complain about your phone not pairing, you shouldn't be driving and talking on the phone anyway enjoy the car and the ride, enjoy your AUDI!
