Default FYI . Q5 fuel economy on recent trip.

Went on a short trip Airdrie to Kelowna return and my best fuel reading was 7.0 L /100 Kms and my worst was 7.8 L /100 Kms.........really not bad for the 3.2.

These are great numbers! I am wondering if you read these off of the computer, or did you calculate them manually? I think that the computer reading may be a little off though.... just wondering?

Not off the computer. Calculated manually.

I just finished a 610km trip. 80% of this trip was highway and 50% of the time the AC was on. My average consumption was 8.1/100K truly amazing I only used 4/5 of my gas tank. I am very impressed.

Same......and I was about 5-10 kms/hr over the speed limit and used cruise control the entire time which did contribute to better fuel economy. Passing vehicles in the mountains even going uphill was effortless with the 3.2.........silky smooth engine and no transmission jerkiness that everyone is concerned about Guess I got lucky on our 2010 as we have had no problems to date.

Good point I forgot to add that, I too was about 12 k over the limit and used cruise most of the time. Cruise control really helps with fuel economy. I only switch to sports mode to over take and I have never experienced an jerkiness while gears shift, the 3.2 has been extremely smooth. Love that engine.

I must have a lead foot. Drove from Toronto to Chicago and back (about 1800 km) at 125 km/h and was averaging in the 10s.

That's almost 3 fills, that's not bad actually.
