Default Exhaust

Hey ....just bought a 2012 Q5-Sline 2.0T and although I am uber pleased with the vehicle it is lacking in the sound department when it comes to the exhaust. Do any of you have any rec's on a brand or solution to perhaps help my Q5 sound a little beefier?

Thanks

I have the StaSis exhaust on my 2012 Q5 along with their ECM reflash, gives the little 2.0T some attitude!

It has defiantly a lot deeper, louder sound to it, no drone at highway speed either. StaSis hand a smoking deal last June, ECM flash regular price of $1495 US and the exhaust was $1495 US but if you got the two as a package the flash was only $250US. So total was $1750US plus shipping and some customs charges. Installation was about $500 CDN. I bought it and got it installed at Taylor Audi in Regina who are a StaSis dealer. The day after it was installed I headed to Sonoma Ca. put on 7000km and it ran super. I didn't lose any fuel economy in fact I think I improved but really can't say for sure because on the interstates was cruising at 90mph and all the mountain driving that I did!

If you are thinking of the Stasis exhaust, do yourself a favour and make sure you experience it before you buy it. Exhaust note is really subjective, and it depends on what you are looking for. I made this mistake by getting the Stasis exhaust/tune without making the effort to find someone who had done it so I could check it out first. The drone/resonance in the cabin drove me nuts to the point that I had to return it after a few months of letting it burn in and trying to get used to it. Another poster here indicated the highway drone was not an issue, and I (mostly) agree, but around town it was just too much to take. Again, this is subjective, but for me it was far from pleasant. You can easily find comments on various forums by people liking or hating every cat-back system. Stasis (like all of them) has worked for some, but not all. Be warned!
