engine bay cleaning
I have a 2013 Q5 and would like to have the engine bay cleaned. I don't want to go to the Dealer. Has anyone done this before and what tips can you offer?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: engine bay cleaning
Avoid direct hose spray pressure around electrical connectors, etc. An open end hose is good to provide water where you want it without excessive pressure. This, with a rag, or long bristled soft brush, and a bucket with car wash detergent is good for removing dirt film.
I like a wiping with P21S Total Auto Wash sprayed onto a clean, damp rag for final step.

Re: engine bay cleaning
Finally cleaned the engine bay today. Just used hose pressure and it looks brand spanking new.
used AutoGlym engine cleaner product followed by vinyl care (as recommended by the manufacturer) and very thrilled with the final result.
