Did anyone here reflashed their 2.0T for more power??
I'm looking for a Q5 2.0T and I'm concerned by the low hp of the car. It drives ok don't get me wrong, but I'm used to more power. A local tuner shop offers reflash tune to bring the power to 260hp. I was wondering if anyone here had done it? How good is it? Can the car realiably cope with the new power?
Any info appreciated!

New to the Audi fold, but have been tuning ALL my vehicles thus far....
Turbo deezles have the most potential for improvement, mildly tuned on the order of 400 hp or more and 800+ lbft of torque.... but in the gas world, would imagine the numbers are substantially lower... maybe in the 10% improvement range ????
Be forewarned, once tuned you won't want to drive it stock !!!
And absolutely, tuning WILL void your warranty as you are surpassing the manufactures design limits.... So I won't be doing the wife's Q5 until out of warranty ...

This is true IF it can be determined that the tuning or other "mods" were the cause of the warranty repair requirement. Also, this applies only if the dealership isnt willing or able to work their magic with Audi ...

What is someone going to do...take them to court to force them to cover something under warranty? I think that whole 'only if they can prove it was the modification that caused it' is a bit of a pipe-dream. First of all that 'law' you're paraphrasing is a U.S. precedent...not Canadian.
Further, reality is that if the dealer or AC denies the claim because you're tuned (and thus are running far more boost...and don't have a rev-limiter anymore etc) it's very easy to point to your tune as the problem for a number of things. If your glovebox hinge breaks, that's a different story. If you have anything under the hood (or electrical) go wrong, you may be in for a battle and are really at the mercy of the dealer network.
I would get tuned if
a) you have a VERY good relationship with the serve dept. at your dealership
b) you have a Stasis tune that the Stasis/ the dealer warranties
c) you have deep enough pockets to cover an engine replacement or something similarly expensive just in case your dealership or Audi Canada balks at your warranty repair.
I chose NOT to tune my B8 A4 2.0T, even though I heard all of these arguments while making the decision. Our car is currently consuming a pretty serious amount of oil...and it looks like we'll need an engine pull/engine breakdown to determine what's wrong. Can you imagine if I was APR tuned? I have zero confidence that the dealer wouldn't have just said 'the tune caused it'.

Re: Did anyone here reflashed their 2.0T for more power??
^ Just to clarify ... The dealership sees the problem first and I agree with Sak that having a good relationship with them goes a long way. Since Audi Canada receives info from the dealership, the way in which the issue is portrayed to them can make or break the case for a warranty coverage. I have very positive experience obtaining warranty coverage on previous Audis (all of which had some form of mods that the dealership could have pointed the finger at and potentially sent me packing). Delerships want service business as well as positive feedback from their customers (when Audi Canada calls). Based on this I will continue to comfortably mod my car knowing I will be treated fairly (especially if a problem arises that is not clearly caused by an aftermarket modification).

Therefore, the best thing to do with the official tuners and valid warranty:
Audi Q5 Tuning
