Bluetooth Issue

Bluetooth Issue
Hey all,
I just picked up my new 2011 Q5. I've tried to transfer my contacts from my Blackberry Torch with no success. I can sync, make calls and receive calls, but the contacts will not transfer to the car.
I've checked on the Audiusa site and my BB is compatible. I keep getting a 'unable to locate object push server' error. I've looked online and tried a few recommendations and still no transfer.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Re: Bluetooth Issue
There have been some issues with BB phonebook data transfers. First, check if there's an update for software for your bluetooth in car. Second, check online and see if there's an update for your BB OS. Third, downloading does take time, so after bluetooth connection is made, you may need to wait up to 2 minutes, or more, for all your contact info to download. Mine takes almost 2 minutes for full download, but I have lots of contacts, about 800+ records. You may see a small DL icon on screen while downloading is occurring, but no other indication. You can't access any contacts until download is complete. If none of this works, I'd try contacting RIM/BB for assistance.

thanks ok2000A8. I've got the latest BB software and i imagine the car has the latest as i just got it. There must be lots of people out there with BB's and Audis so there must be some sort of setting or something that needs to be set.
I'll give the dealership a call on Monday and see what they say.

I have the same issue - my contacts do not get copied to the car from my BB Torch. I can see the count incrementing in 10's on the MMI when I try but once its complete, there are 0 contacts in the car's memory.
Thanks

Re: Bluetooth Issue
my BB synched about 50% of the time properly; but I just switched to an iPhone 2 weeks ago. It synchs 100% all the time with bluetooth and all contacts - every time. Only problem with iPhone is dialing an extension. BB format is a space and an 'x' before extension #. Works fine when dialing from BB or from car bluetooth system (when working) but iPhone format is different. Extension is done with a comma, and car bluetooth system doesn't recognize the comma. Oh well.

Re: Bluetooth Issue
Yeah, it did work. i have close to 2,000 contacts so it just took some time. Now i don't have to wait all my contacts are there.

Re: Bluetooth Issue
I can pair my BB Torch no problem with the car, but it just doesn't copy the contacts.

Re: Bluetooth Issue
My wife's android phones worked flawlessly... will have to try my blackberry ...
Sorry to sidetrack,
but does it download the phone contacts only once and it is stored ?
or is it each time for each phone - Hmmm - and if both phones are in the car ?
we also have a lot of address contacts on our Garmin GPS as well and would like to download them into memory... can that be done ? thanks !

Re: Bluetooth Issue
why do you guys want your contacts on your car? Isn't it easy to just call them using the bluetooth linked address book?
i.e. click the mode button , and it automatically shows your contact list. That's what it does on my B7 S4 and on my B8 A4. Am I missing out on something?

Re: Bluetooth Issue
Not sure who you addressed that question to,
I know we are spoiled....
but in my case, it does take time to sync and load the address book each time so just thought if you could upload both phone contacts it would be there always....
