Folks, hope you're all well.

I guess nobody has a good tip/advice re having/adding more bass on the B&O Sound System...such as replacing the existing subwoofer inside the trunk without compromising the whole system and the space in the trunk. There should be an after market subwoofer out there which will fit the existing factory one.

Hi Q-E - I don't think anyone here has ventured into changing up the sub yet but next time we meet up let's pull out the stuff in the trunk and actually find the sub back there, we can take some pictures, get some measurements and make this happen. It'll be a good little project.

Having seen almost all the vag codes listed online I am yet to see anything for the B&O system. I highly doubt at this point there is anything we can change other than physically changing the sub.

 

Thks, warcity. We've done quite a lot of projects and really enjoying them. Keep forgetting to ask you: do you like your B&O as it is?

 

I don't think I've seen a single disparaging word from warcity on the B&O...and I'd have to agree with him. I'm very happy with the quality of the sound. Others in the forum have commented that the price is a bit much for what you get, and I'd agree that it's a little expensive, but if you want factory/integrated sound then it's definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

 

Steve said it, I love it. For the type of music I listen to the sound is fantastic but I can see some folks might want a bit more kick.

 

I originally thought I had paid way too much for what the B&O system gives, esp. the base....so being a sound enthusiast I listened to the premium sound systems in other cars including my wife's 2010 RDX Tech....and what I realized is that the base on the B&O is far better in very subtle ways. It's not as loud as some systems but its very tight. Put in some good quality audio maybe with something jazzy and you will notice it right away...but if it's trunk rattlin you want then you might need a bigger woofer

 

If replacing the B&O sub, check the power requirments on the sub you intend on using and then cross check with the amp used to power the Audi sub to ensure you have the power requirements/ specs required.
