It's seems that the new solid LED DRL and the new MMI interface plus the Dual Clutch technology will soon be on all new Audi models. Something to look forward to.

I absolutely LOVE the Google Earth integration. I think this is the biggest leap in car navigation advancement initiated by Audi. This will essentially eliminate the need for hard drive navigation, updates and any worries about traffic reports. Simply brilliant I can't wait for this.

Boy, that looks good. Coming out of an A3 to a Q5—mainly for the extra space—that sure falls nicely between and I would have considered it if I could have waited a bit longer. The front and rear light design cues are great: nice and clean and aggressive, and if this is the direction for the next Q5 refresh I'm feeling a (very slight) pang of design remorse. The shape of the Q5 rear lights is the one design hesitation I have about it.

I haven't read anything about the Google mapping integration you mention, warcity, but I agree: that's a sea change.

 

The Google Earth Navigation is part of Audi Connect. It's being debuted in the A7 but will be available on the A8 and A6 as well. Unfortunately there has been no confirmation on a Canadian carrier yet. T Mobile was announced for the US carrier.

 

Sure Audi doesn't disappoint. They are Apple of car business. Everyone looks to them for cut-edge tech, and then they just follow......trying to catch up..... And they never will.

 

Well, that might be a bit optimistic. I agree with you in the short-term, though: they're riding a great wave right now. I am hoping that what I see in those vids is somehow updatable with current MMI systems, at least in part.

For your information Dual Clutch technology in Audi models is called S-tronic and the VW car is a DSG , and has existed for many years in the rest of the world Of course additional charge(not for all models) in the no series

 

Love the headlight and taillight design. Wish my current Q5 MMI was integrated with Google Earth.
