Activating auxiliary ventilation on Q5 using VCDS / VAGCOM
Hi guys, new to the forum, hope this is the right section to be asking this:
As per the website "audienthusiast" it is reported that by using VCDS, one can enable the Aux ventilation in the AC menu on the main screen. I have a 2009 Q5 with no nav, Concert radio. On my AC screen I only have two setting options - Recirculation and Syncronisation. Has anyone here been able to activate this on a similar car?
The prob for me is that although I am able to access and code Radio 56 and HVAC 08 as per the guide on the web site, (I have just purchased the RossTech device) there is no option 5F Information Electr. I do have a 5F under Electronics 2 tab but it is inaccessible.
Of all the VCDS tweaks out there this is the ONE that I could use...
Thanks in advance!

Re: Activating auxiliary ventilation on Q5 using VCDS / VAGCOM
I was able to activate this on my Q5. It's extremely complicated you just have to keep trying, there is lot of writet up online.
BUT- it's not a very useful feature, all it does it circulates warm air. Q5 doesn't actually have the module to cool the air and circulate it. It's good in the winter time as it circulates the hot air from the engine into the cabin, in the summer time it really severs no purposes. It's a good feature only if you have the module which the Q5 doesn't come with.

Thanks warcity, I also dropped David from audienthusiast an email on the subject and he suggested I recheck all my codes. I was trying to be too careful and made a silly mistake. The moment I selected the right byte/ bit combination the new menu item suddenly appeared. I tried so many times but I was simply repeating the same error. Gotta learn that these things start with 0 not 1 and run from right to left. My bad.
