I understand it won't be silky smooth. To be honest, at the moment the jerk is still acceptable for since i quite got used to it.
Anyways, looking forward to it.

I have the same problem with my 2011 A4. They did a software update but it's now worse. What exactly is the "manual adaption"? It seems that a few of you did it and are happy with the results?

mikeyc, looks like you have ended up where I was after software update - it made it worse. Request maunal adaptation. They basically take you car for a day, adjust shifting manual. It takes 50+k to do so too, so don't be surprised if you see some milage up.
It made high difference, however, it didn't cure issue completely. It still from time to time shifts roughly, but it's way better then before, so I can live with it.
