My dealer ordered a new mechatronic unit from Germany (the part responsible for the shifting and 'adapting' of the transmission) i had to wait a couple of weeks but after the replacement, the shifting is now smooth and the problem has disappeared- big difference. Jerky downshifting is not normal.

I have 2.0 and my transmission occasionally jerks when downshifting. It's not doing it all the time, but more often than not. I plan to bring it to dealer’s attention soon.
Other things that annoy me:
- Howling when accelerating between 20-50km/h and foot of the gas pedal. Again, inconsistent and happens maybe 50% of the time. I test drove it with tech and of course it didn't happen that much - not close for him to detect. I'll try again later......
- Squeaky brakes when come to complete stop. Then release a little and it squeaks again. Very annoying. Done some digging and looks like it should clear itself after about 5K. If not - then I'll see what dealer will do with it.
So, driving Q5 is a blast, just those little things........
