If anyone is planning to get a 2.0 Q5, I think you should better off saving your money and buy VW tiguan.

Different engine and no rings on it.

It was expected to be about that. The entry level A4 in 2010 was $41,200 and it didn't inlcude all of those extras.

SPP should be the same.

I was eagerly awaiting this, but I'm a little disappointed to see it over $41k. Now I'm tempted to wait to see how well it does with the "v6 or bust" North American audience before ordering....

Any whispers of updates to the Supplier Purchase Program (the current offer expires end of June)?

Close enough, still a 2.0 turbo engine, with a little less HP/Torque but you save over 5 grand. If you really want a Q5, 3.2 is the way to go.

Ah, my dealer, and I thought somewhere in this forum, had me expecting sub-$40k. Moving target, obviously :)

Thanks again!

In your opinion.

Absolutely, no disrespect nor am I trying to take away sales and persuade others, this is 110% my opinion, I was never a fan of 4 cylinder SUVs no matter how much power or torque they might have.

+1

I'm not sold on any of the 2011 Q5 set-ups. Very glad I got the 2010 price wise and option wise. The 2.0T is just silly in the Q5 full stop. How I base this opinion: I'm pretty sure (99% sure) I have the same 2.0T in my 2010 GTI which is about 350kg lighter then a base S-tronic 2.0T with NO options at all. I am looking for ways to get more power for my GTI. I think if that engine was in my Q5, I wouldn't have even have considered looking at Audi...my honest educated opinion.

I know afretes is just a salesman, so he's just trying to give us information to make an informative decision, and I know the Johnston family and it's all about selling the latest and greatest equipment (I was a new car sales manager in the GTA for many years, so I understand). However, some things I've read are just opinions of afretes, i.e. the 2011 is cheaper then my 2010...incorrect. FACT: Yes if I wanted Lane Assist and a 'START' button, yes it would be cheaper to jump into a 2011, however a car spec'd how I wanted it, a) is no longer available, b) is NOT cheaper then my 2010.

To make an educated decision, you need to look at all views, reviews and releases from independent sources, not base your purchase on a salesman.

Well said - the 2.0T might serve a purpose for someone who wants an Audi SUV and doesn't care about power... but even so, the price of a 3.2 isn't much greater.

I would have at least expect to see a much larger price differential b/w the 2.0T and the 3.2.

Same old story... 2.0 vs. 3.2

I guess everyone (well, almost everyone) who bough a 3.2 will stand by it and defend it. I jumped on it myself and got the 2010 3.2. And love it! However, I would have bought the 2.0 engine if available at the time. I think it is enough for Toronto's fantastic roads. Most common engine in Germany for the Q5 is the 2.0 engine and I can understand it. It is enough of engine power.

I can not understand why Audi Canada seems to always introduce the 3.2 engines first with no smaller engine alternatives or even a diesel.

Give people the choice from the beginning!!

And I agree, MY2011 there is stuff (from the tech. pgk.) included which I would not need. Happy I choose 2010 ;-)
