Re: 2011 Audi Q5 and Q7 Pricing...

Thank you! So, for the 3.2 Premium model the price increase is $1,300 from 2010. However, you get the Advanced Key, Audi Side Assist and Homelink now. These are 3 of the 4 things in the Technology Package which is currently an option for $2,200. I wonder if the adaptive headlight (which is the 4th item in the Technology package) is also included here? Anyway, you are paying a little more for an option that was more costly before.

For the US, the 3.2 models will get the S-line exterior design too - I wonder if that is the case for Canada? Or still an option only even for the Premium model?

The pricing for the 2.0 models is interesting. There is a pricing difference of $2,600 between the 2.0 and 3.2 Premium models, but then the 3.2 also includes the Panoramic sunroof, which is a $2000+ option. So the price difference really is only about $2,000. That is not a lot, is it???

Glad I got a 2010 Premium to be honest. The 2011 has added features that are useless for me.

2011 will be better priced, not to mention that it is a whole year newer adding value down the road.

I totally disagree.

For kicks and giggles quote me on the following:

2011 Audi 3.2 Q5 Premium
Garnet Red
19" Tire/Wheel Package
Audi Drive Select
Navigation Package
S-line Grille
Audi Care
Window Tint

I bet my 2010 will be still cheaper...and I won't have features that I will never use.

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

The 2011MY alone absorbs the price difference. Simply because it's a year newer.

So what would be the price on the spec vehicle I gave you?

Thanks!

I was eagerly awaiting this, but I'm a little disappointed to see it over $41k. Now I'm tempted to wait to see how well it does with the "v6 or bust" North American audience before ordering....

Any whispers of updates to the Supplier Purchase Program (the current offer expires end of June)?

If anyone is planning to get a 2.0 Q5, I think you should better off saving your money and buy VW tiguan.

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

Different engine and no rings on it.

afretes 05-03-2010 12:57 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 and Q7 Pricing...

It was expected to be about that. The entry level A4 in 2010 was $41,200 and it didn't inlcude all of those extras.

SPP should be the same.

Close enough, still a 2.0 turbo engine, with a little less HP/Torque but you save over 5 grand. If you really want a Q5, 3.2 is the way to go.

Ah, my dealer, and I thought somewhere in this forum, had me expecting sub-$40k. Moving target, obviously :)

Thanks again!

Absolutely, no disrespect nor am I trying to take away sales and persuade others, this is 110% my opinion, I was never a fan of 4 cylinder SUVs no matter how much power or torque they might have.

+1

I'm not sold on any of the 2011 Q5 set-ups. Very glad I got the 2010 price wise and option wise. The 2.0T is just silly in the Q5 full stop. How I base this opinion: I'm pretty sure (99% sure) I have the same 2.0T in my 2010 GTI which is about 350kg lighter then a base S-tronic 2.0T with NO options at all. I am looking for ways to get more power for my GTI. I think if that engine was in my Q5, I wouldn't have even have considered looking at Audi...my honest educated opinion.

I know afretes is just a salesman, so he's just trying to give us information to make an informative decision, and I know the Johnston family and it's all about selling the latest and greatest equipment (I was a new car sales manager in the GTA for many years, so I understand). However, some things I've read are just opinions of afretes, i.e. the 2011 is cheaper then my 2010...incorrect. FACT: Yes if I wanted Lane Assist and a 'START' button, yes it would be cheaper to jump into a 2011, however a car spec'd how I wanted it, a) is no longer available, b) is NOT cheaper then my 2010.

To make an educated decision, you need to look at all views, reviews and releases from independent sources, not base your purchase on a salesman.

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

Well said - the 2.0T might serve a purpose for someone who wants an Audi SUV and doesn't care about power... but even so, the price of a 3.2 isn't much greater.

I would have at least expect to see a much larger price differential b/w the 2.0T and the 3.2.

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

Same old story... 2.0 vs. 3.2

I guess everyone (well, almost everyone) who bough a 3.2 will stand by it and defend it. I jumped on it myself and got the 2010 3.2. And love it! However, I would have bought the 2.0 engine if available at the time. I think it is enough for Toronto's fantastic roads. Most common engine in Germany for the Q5 is the 2.0 engine and I can understand it. It is enough of engine power.

I can not understand why Audi Canada seems to always introduce the 3.2 engines first with no smaller engine alternatives or even a diesel.

Give people the choice from the beginning!!

And I agree, MY2011 there is stuff (from the tech. pgk.) included which I would not need. Happy I choose 2010 ;-)

ROKKSOL 05-04-2010 12:28 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

Alright! so for those that want the power of the 3.2 but want to pay the price of the 2.0T can still consider the ECU flash offered by StaSis that does not void the warranty according to Audi Service departments (StaSis certified)...

Is it wrong to think that way?

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

on the q5 2.0T base are the bi-xenons and the led daytimes separate pay options or part of the same $900 upgrade?

afretes 05-11-2010 10:07 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

LED daytime running lights are bundled in the same pkg with the bi-xenon headlights.

Not sure if FORDP's question on page 1 regarding the new 2011 Supplier Purchase Program was answered, but anybody have any details yet?

The 2011 SPP details haven't been released yet. I doubt that it will change though.

Here are the details:

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

This doesn't say anything about free maintenance as part of SPP. I got 3% off MSRP plus free maintenance, not sure if the above has completely changed for this year.

afretes 05-20-2010 04:53 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

Because it isn't included.
If you picked up yours or ordered it before Dec 31 2009, then the SPP should've been 7% and free Audi Care.
The above is what it is as of Jan 1 2010, and it will most likely be the same or 2011 models.

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

Ah I see, so Audi slightly reduces MSRP but also reduces the SPP discount to probably offset it. That's sweet marketing for you. Good thing I bought last year.

afretes 05-21-2010 04:18 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

I only work for Audi, if it was up to me the 7% would still be on.

warcity 05-21-2010 04:49 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

I know and I realize you're just a messenger. My comment was directed towards audi's marketing strategy.

afretes 05-21-2010 05:19 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

All I know is that the 7% SPP was supposed to be only a temporary promotion, just as any other promo we may have. It got extended because not too many dealers were taking advantage of it, I guess all dealers realized how good it was, to the point that it went way over budget so it had to change.

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

I read somewhere that the 2011 Q5 comes with the MMI controller on the console behind the shift selector, even if you don't choose the GPS option. Does anybody on this forum know if that is correct?

afretes 06-15-2010 08:21 AM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

I haven't heard anything about that.

MkIX 06-15-2010 07:36 PM

Re: 2011 Audi Q5 Pricing...

OK; thanks for the info.

Would be nice if Audi did indeed put the controller on the console instead of the stack. It seems to me to make more sense; but I guess that's just my personal preference.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that the 3.2 includes bi-xenon headlights, that are adaptive. Only on the 2.0t specs does it specifically say that "adaptive headlights not included"...

so can i read this to assume the 3.2 includes bi-xenons that are adaptive?
