Default 2010 Q5 Trade In

I'm about to purchase a new 2013 Q5 3.0T. How have others made out on their trade in's.

My 2010 Q5 has only 54KM (Premium, B&O LavaGrey) is in perfect shape and I am having them offer as little as $32K sight unseen. I know it is a push/pull scenario, but you can hardly find a Q5 with decent km's below $40K. What have others received as a trade in values?

If anyone is looking used, let me know. Car is in Alberta.

Post it on the forum and Kijiji and trust me in a couple of weeks it will be sold. You will make a few dollars unless like many owners for pure convinience and have money to throw down the window by giving the profits to the dealership Many times they simply slap the CPO, compound and shampoo and list it for a healthy profit

If you are buying a new one don't the HST savings offset the incremental amount you'd get through a private sale? I guess in AB it would only be 5% but in the rest of the country you'd save 13-15% off the trade in value as you don't have to pay HST twice.

I own the vehicle through one of my companies, GST is not a factor.

I took $36K for it as I wanted a quick sale and sold it to a nice guy. Always sell to people or buy from people. Makes it so much easier.

Thanks!
