Default 20" All season tires recommendation for Q5

My 2010 Q5 S-line Lava grey is coming estimate June 12.

I'm kinda in the middle of debating whether getting a set of winter wheels or just simply swap to 20" All-Season tires with the stock S-line rims.

I think I'm leaning more towards replacing the summer performance tires into All-Seasons since Vancouver doesn't have much snow during winter normally and it seems to be the more cost affective/space saving option.

I would like to get some input on the tire choice...Yokohama Parada Spec-X seems have pretty good reviews on TireRack. Anyone has experience with this one or other suggestion?

Also, any recommended local (Vancouver) tire shops that did a good job on un-mounting/mounting without damaged the rims too much?

Thx in advance. Cheers.

I'd go with Winter. Buy 18" and slap on winter tires. The kind of traction you will get with winter tires you won't get with all season.

Well OP is from Vancourver, so he might get by with all season. But different story in Toronto, snow tires for sure is the way to go.

Agree, I missed the fact about your location. Unless of course you're always up in whistler skiing (like I would be if I lived there) lucky guy.

Have a look at the Nokin WR G2 series. These are All weather radials and for our west coast climate are great! Although pricey they offer great year round performance even on snow/ice. Before moving from Edmonton to Victoria I had these on my last SUV and had no regrets. These tires will do for a eastbound trip up the coquihalla no problem!

Kerosan. Bought snow tires and rims from the Tirerack and saved about 1500.00 dollars from the quoted dealership here in Calgary. They delivered them to my front deck about 5 days after I ordered them, mounted balanced ready to go!

Scorpions but which wheel? I actually forget. They have numerous wheels online which you can pick and visualize what they look like on the Q5. It was one of the easier purchases I've made online in years.........funny local parts guy at Royal Oak Audi encouraged me to buy from them as he said he could not even come close to their prices.
