I recently got my Q5 with 19 inch tires and Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires. I test drove a Q5 with Perilli's on and these Eagle tires on my car did not handle well when I stopped quickly in rainy weather. Scary for me. And I have filled up 3 times and getting a horrible 14-15 liters/100 km.

What do most people get with the Q5? What is a better tire?

Also will mileage get better than this as it breaks in? Or do tires make a difference?

The 19" upgrade I got came with Micheline tires. I assumed all 19" Q5 Rim upgrades came with the same tire. It is very good.

 

My 2010 Q5 with 19" rims also has the LS2. I haven't noticed any handling or stopping problems, and I'm averaging 11L/100km over the last 7,000 km (combination highway and city driving).

 

I guess there is no consistantcy with the tires, my 2010 19" came with Michiline and I know the Sline came with Dunlop.

 

Correction: Sline comes with Bridgstone NOT Dunlop.

In Australia the 18 inch come wihht Continental tyres (tires as you say)....
