what is the best intake system i could buy?
Hi there,
I have an 2004 a4 quattro 1.8t, i Unitronic chipped it and put a blow off on it. What kind / brand of intake should I put? I want most performance possible...
On the APR website it says they recommend Carbonio cold air intake...
APR - High Performance Development for Audi Vehicles
It looks pretty and its expensive .. but.. it looks like an air box replacement ????
I want most hp possible... what should i get ?
THanks

Dont bother, the stock cold air intake is well known to be very low restriction- the aftermarket ones make little improvement, if any, and apparently some are very bad letting water in.
Yore better off spending your money elsewhere - eg.: , catback exhaust, upgraded intercooler, etc.

the stock one is the best option unless you want to pay for the carbonio one. Just take a look at the turbo sitting next to the airbox, if you put an intake then you need to get heatshield.

Got another Carbonio question here...I see they advertise that it eliminates the need for a secondary air pump. I'm guessing their airbox does not have a secondary air hose going to it, but does this mean you can lose the pump, combi valve etc on a 1.8T? Does this not set engine lights? Hope someone can explain it to my dumb ***!
