Exclamation Tiptronic Tech Question S4/S6

Hi all -

I have an 05 S4 Cab 4.2 and just purchased an 03 S6 Avant 4.2. The difference in sport mode shift /torque/ gear hold / AKA suck the change out of your pocket feel is rather obvious.
I realize the obvoius weight diff....
The 05 is raunchy (read very nice )and the 03 is soft and vague.
My question is what can be done to wake up the 03 tip in sport mode?
Chip the engine ?
Chip or VAG - flash the trans ?
both ?
I love both cars but the 03 is most slushy and soft esp. in 2 nd to 3 rd
An experienced POV - or if you can point me to a good source would be much appreciated.
Regards Adam

I have an 03 A6 with 2.7T, it shifts firm on stock tune after I changed out the trans filter and put fresh fluid in, I used the Castrol for European cars Brand which is standard red color instead of yellowish clear. If your fluid has never been changed it probably will look black when drained, mine did at 90,000 miles. The factory oil is a very good oil ($expensive$) and is said to be a lifetime oil but the filter in the trans gets dirty over time and should be changed, my take on that is change it more often using a cheaper oil, the Castrol is suitable though and lists the factory oil specs on the bottle.
