Smile Tip on choosing coilover (b6 a4)

Hi y'all

I have 2004 a4 qtro 6psd and I currently on a tein springs.

I bought this car like few weeks ago and I would like to get a coilover suspension

either tein, h&r, d2 ... etc

I could only find info about kw and stasis in this forum, and I need your opinion

I basically drive this car as a daily driving car, not gonna be on the track, or anything.

So what kinda coilovers are good for the 2004 audi a4?

Thanks

depends what you want from your car, do you take it to the track once in a while or are you just looking to lower the car?

the most popular coilovers for our b6 a4's are probably the entry level stasis streetsports which are basically koni's pre-tuned by stasis. i have vogtland GT's from startup racing which are a bit stiffer than the streetsports. bilsteins pss9 or pss10's are very good and are a step up from the former two i mentioned. and if you want the ultimate in adjustability and performance you can go with stasis motorsports.

i'm not familiar with the tein's and h&r since they were never on my list when i was researching coilovers for my b6.

Well, it may sound rice, but I want to lower the car in summer and lift the car in the winter sort of care about looking i guess

I wouldn't take this car to the track, cuz i have another car for it (not audi, but honda)

I just want some not cheap, but pretty much basic coilovers to adjust the height of the car. I guess any brand would be fine? I am also considering buying a used one.

How about eibach coilovers? do you know whether they are okay for my purpose?

Thank you for the reply

This is just for looks??? I would say spend your money on something effective not something redundent and useless as looks. Audi is a timeless car, in my opinon and does not age very quickly as far as looks go, as far as honda goes...well your first problem was buying it, i would say(I currently own a honda as well). First thing I would do is change the sway bars performance/handling wise. You should never do a mod just because of looks IMHO!!!

......And I tried really hard not to make jokes and be an ***.......

Thanks for the reply 1move.

The reason why I am doing this is because the previous owner put spring (Tein) and it is pretty low and I already lost my under belly sheilds.

So i was thinking, may be buying coilovers to change height

Anyway Thanks for the real gentle reply

and what should I look for the sway bar? heard that rs4's are really good

I would go with the RS4 Sway bar, H&R makes some stiffer ones @30mm vs RS4's at 24mm. but with the H&R you get a lot more understeer I personally think the rs4 one is perfect for the A4

so Do you think I can get the stock rs4 sway bar from the dealer?

or where should I look into? and how much cost I would be looking at?

Like you mentioned, i would rather spend money on something else rather than spending on coilover just for the looks.

Thanks again 1move

where you living though?

FYI there is no B6 RS4! Go with the B7 RS4 Sway bar, along with the rubber dampers or whatever you call them.
