Default Starting the car after some time

So our Audi has been sitting around because we weren't in town. The car didn't start. On taking it to Audi repair, they said the keys needed reprogramming. They fixed it, we drove it back and again didn't use it for two days and it didn't start today. Is the key a problem or is there something else going on?

sounds like your battery died...

the key reprogramming is a direct result of the car losing power and forgetting the remote key fob settings...
