Default Maintenance cost

I have been doing a little reading to familiarise myself with Audi. I don't want to just be mesmerized by the good looks and great features. Someone commented that they were being charged $250 for a oil change, battery $300, fan belt $3000. Are these things normally this expensive or is this just a one off situation.

I don't have my Audi yet but have to say these prices seem way off to me. $250 for an oil change? I would definitely be checking around with other mechanics before I agreed to let them touch my car.

I know, that was my thought when I read it. The person said it was actually the dealer that was charging him that and not a garage.

My husband will definitely do this if that is what they charge!
I haven't had my first oil change on the Audi yet, but I bet I call dealership first and see what they charge.
Wow..... Hope they are wrong!!

250$ for an oil change seems way over the top. I've never had the dealer do an oil change for me but that seems way off base. Maybe for a full "tune-up" at one of the service intervals that involves some other things but for just an oil change that is robbery.

There is no way that they are paying that amount for just an oil change. If that were the case then they really should be shopping the garage/dealership for daylight robbery.

$250 for an oil change!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone's getting robbed...I get Elf synthetic oil rated at 12000km and pay $75. Change it twice a year. $3000 for a fan belt??? It cost about $1000 to do a timing belt and that's changing the valve cover gasket too. Where do you live? I can recommend good independant garages. Those prices are pretty steep even for a Stealership.

If I ever paid that much for an oil change, they better be including some goodies that are hidden surprises for me. I dont think I have ever paid more than 80 and thats with tires rotate and so on.
