Default can you guys recomment rotor and brakes for my a4 2004

Hi there,

I have an a4 quattro 2004 1.8t.

I wanna put drilled / slotted rotors and high quality pads.

I dont have a brembo budget though.

Id like to pay 400-600 for parts.

Im afraid of buying a random thing off ebay.

Can you guys recommend something ?

Thanks
Dan

Well, I wouldn't buy off eBay either. There are a few reputable shops I've purchased from before, like Supreme Power Parts, ECS Tuning, Pure MotorSport, Tire Rack, to name a few. I wouldn't worry about drilled/slotted rotors though, especially if you're sticking with stock size, for they are mostly for looks for street use (there've been claims that they help in rainy climates, but I haven't tested that theory myself). Some OEM-replacement rotor manufacturers are ATE, Zimmermann, and Brembo. You should definitely get some after market pads though, like Hawk HPS, Carbotech Bobcats, or if you just want lower dust, Mintex Red would be fine too.

For your budget, you might be able to source a pair of 2nd hand B5 S4 calipers, which would significantly improve braking performance.
