So, first winter coming along for my A3 and well, the OEM winter mats don't cover jack in the car..leaving huge areas prone to salt/dirt that our Canadian winters experience.

I was just wondering what you guys are doing to cover what the winter mats don't...

Some pics would be nice...

thanks!

Hi, I always get another set of aftermarket rubber mats and either take out the OEM carpet ones. I usually flip over the OEM ones and trace the outline on the rubber ones and cut to fit.

Problem with the A3 winter mats from AUDI is that they leave huge gaps of uncovered carpet...

And when the salt comes in...

What about getting those Grooved mats i.e. Michelin at Crappy Tire? Those worked well for me in the past.

you can have a look at these mats below as an alternative...

http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...ustomerVehId=0

for the other areas I would use the clear rolls of trunk liner they sell at crappy tire...
