2003 B6 Suspension suggestions?? - Help
Here’s the deal – I just purchased a 2003 3.0 Avant. I am in love with it, but noticed the front end is a little higher then the rear (check out the pic). I know the car was originally sold with the “sport suspension” upgrade (and 235/45 wheels). My thought is that the front suspension was changed to the “standard”, hence it is a little higher.
Being a total newbie to the mod scene (I was into bikes but we just popped a bun out of the oven), I am looking for some advise.
Should I just take it to the dealer and see if they can change out the front to “sport suspension”? Or should I look at an after market approach. I really can’t break the bank but would be willing to part with a few G’s to keep the low profile look. Or do I have NO idea what I am talking about
Any suggestions would be swell
THX!

Definitely take it to a shop and see what you have before making any decisions. Could be you have lowering springs but just in the front or something like that.
If you do end up wanting a whole new suspension check out the Koni "sport" suspension - cheaper than the OEM sports and offers a nice ride height/comfort compromise.

it's a possibility it was changed as part of maintenance and not put together with the sport package parts... do you have any records of the car having front suspension work done pertaining to the shocks/springs?

Is that pic representative of the suspension? i.e., does the car sit like that without snow, on flat ground? The front is supposed to have a slightly larger wheel-to-fender gap than the rear, but not as much as shown in the pic you've posted. Is the ground clearance uniform front to back? That would perhaps be a better indication than wheel gap when judging if something's wrong with your suspension.
