As many of you know we have a few members that own these beautiful machines. I had the fortune to have a good friend invite me to a track day an exotic club was holding.

First off I would like to thank that individual as this is an amazing event and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We started on the line that leads up to the track and waited for everyone to clear, once everyone passed us, the pure raw power was unleashed. As we accelerated down the straight away for the few short seconds our speed was at about 180km/h. As the driver slowed down and cornered at the sharp corner at about 90km/h the car had a stance of an unimaginable machine. As we approached the S curve at 140km/h, we edged the pavement with the tires screeching begging for forgiveness and the pure scream of the amazing engine in the rear, just powering through the corner without any hesitation or argument, as if it were on a straight line. Down the straightaway up to 200km/h the engine just releasing an electrifying sound that chills your veins, and then a power turn at 80km/h and down the long straightaway accelerating to 240km/h. What a rush and an experience of a wonderful car. I am still mesmerized by the recollection of the sounds and speed of that engine which still sends chills down my spine and a pure adrenaline rush.

Thanks for your kind words about the R8. It is an amazing car to drive on the track. I had the 4.2 before and while it was excellent on the corners, it just did not have enough power on the straights to keep the big boys at bay. Now with the V10, there are only a select few cars that can pass and they have to really work at it!

 

Also jealous. But I have to admit just seeing this car "in the flesh" made my day.
