I'm new to this forum and to Audi. Just signed on the dotted line last night for a new 2010 Q5 Premium with Technology Package, Navigation Package, 19" 5 spoke rims, and Bang & Olufson audio. It's my first foray into imports and luxury cars, so I'm very excited. I'm waiting on a delivery date, but suspect it'll be coming from the factory, so expect a few months of waiting. I'm hoping my current car holds out that long!

Welcome to Audi and this forum. Great choice. I have been considering the same vehicle for my wife. Let me know what you think about the vehicle once you get it. What was the colour choice and price if you don't mind.

 

Hi mikeh...it could be a while before I see it, as I expect it will have to come from the factory. But I'll definitely post my thoughts when it arrives. I went with black on black, and here's my pricing:

I just bought a 2010 Q5 Premium with nav pkg, tech pkg, 19" 5 spoke wheels and Bang & Olufson (MSRP $58,395 incl freight). Combined with the $1000 SPP I was able to negotiate a $3,395 discount. I was happy with that, especially considering that's a $3,836 savings when you factor in GST/PST.

 

I should also mention there was a $1995 freight charge, $250 admin, $300 in air and gas taxes, $30 in tire taxes plus GST/PST. Total came to roughly $62,000.

A quick update...my dealer just emailed me a VIN, so we're making progress. Any know at what stage the VIN is usually available? Does this mean it's on the assembly line, built, or in transit?

Good news...despite having just been informed a week ago that my Q5 would arrive mid to end of April...it showed up today. Doesn't really give me a lot of confidence that the dealership knows where it's orders are. Hopefully when I pick it up it's actually my car!
