Default Just bought a V8Q.........

Or should I say, the wife's just bought a V8Q! Here in Medicine Hat, AB.

It's a US car, built by AVS in Washington I believe.
Found a couple of old photocopies of magazine articles tucked behind the rear armrest, from Autoweek Nov'99 and SEMA News Jul '00 covering this very car.
I've Googled but can't find AVS anymore. Maybe they don't exist these days.
Apparently it has some head porting, valve train and cam upgrades, a chip, and it most definitely still has it's loud, kinda DTM-style loud exhaust.....Might have to tone it down a bit. It's LOOOOOUUUUUUUD over 3000rpm!
H+R springs, Bilsteins, 17" TSW Hock's
I think the first of our mod's will be some CAC clear turn signals....

I'll have better pics. These were taken about an hour ago as soon as we got the new toy home!

Whoa that sounds really mean. What kind of exhaust is on it?

Dunno yet.
Accordoing to the po, it was a hand-built system by AVS
All stainless from exhaust ports to tail pipes, ceramic coated headers, and 2 tiny mufflers right at the tailpipe. The original x-pipe and cat's came with it in case I want to build a quieter pipe.

When I get the thing up in the air I'll be able to see if there are any identifying marks. As it is I can barely get my hand under the car......

Need to drop the engine compartments under-tray as there's a weep from the power steering set-up somewhere...
Any common leak points anybody knows of......
Guess I'll be posting in the tech sections soon enough!!

Strangely enough, it was a 5.0 she drove before.
At least this one will go in a straight line in the winter!
