Smile Hi there...

Hi there .

I'm looking at buying an Allroad 2.7T in November. I'm may try to get a 2004 or, with some luck an 05.
I've seen some going for $22,000 here in SoCal.
Can you guys help me out with what to look for concerning issues to that model.
I will try to get one with less then 65,000 miles.
What's the most expensive maintenance for the 2.7T model.
Thank you for your time.

Best regards.

Well, i have the 2001 S4, not sure it's the same motor in the older one's but i think it is. Anyway, everythings expensive, oil changes if u take it somewhere it rediculous. to work on the motor in mine you have to take of the bumber, there's no real way to get around that. It's not cheap to fix, that motor is stuffed in there. It's something to consider. but there are alot of DIY if your at all mechanically inclined, you can get a vag-com to save trips to dealerships and 100+ for the hookup.

Have you done many miles (Kilometers) on your S4?

i bought it with about 144 on it, i'm at 170 now. 2 years almost i've had it, i got a friend who's a mechanic, chared 600 for the timingbelt, audi wanted 2700 or something rediculous. It's fun, alot of fun, but no where to play, and expensive to fix, so i just keep it super clean and drive slow, no more than 10 over posted.
