b5 pain

First off I want to say hi. Just logged in as a new member. Secondly im looking for a hand with an oil leak on my 1998 a4 2.8.
So far I have done the valve cover gaskets, end cam cap, cam intake seals, cam chain tensioner gaskets. And I still have a puff on smoke and burring oil coming from rear driver side of engine. If anyone has advise of what to check next it would be greatly appreciated as im at a loss.

First off let me welcome you to the forum. There are some very knowledgeable people here and I am sure you will get some advise and or information to help solve your problem. was all the work done by a mechanic and if so what did he say?

b5 pain

Some work was done by a mechanic. Some I did my self. When I took the car in two days ago he said the top of the engine was dry, so it doesnt appear to be leaking anymore from the cam seals, but im still getting a buring oil and a puff of smoke. Its really go me stumped. The only other spot I can see leaking is the oil pan gasket, which im doing next week wen i get the time.
